Norbert Ralph, Ph.D., MPH

Dr. Ralph has over 40 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. He has authored over 40 articles, books, chapters, and blogs. He has held faculty positions with the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and the Division of Family Practice at UC Davis. He coordinated assessment and treatment services for the juvenile courts in San Francisco. He has continued to provide assessment, treatment, and counseling services relevant to the area of prosocial development. He is the author of the prosocial skills workbook, Being a Pro, and provides training regarding this method. He is an Independent Practitioner through the California Sex Offender Management Board and a National Academy of Neuropsychology member.  

Recent publications by Dr. Ralph include “Neuropsychological and Developmental Factors in Juvenile Transfer Hearings: Prosocial Perspectives.”  Journal of Juvenile Law & Policy, 2020. Recent trainings by Dr. Ralph have included prosocial assessment and treatment methods.

Kirsten Mason, Psy.D.
Dr. Mason is a clinical forensic psychologist who works with adolescents, young adults, and their families who are justice-involved.  Dr. Mason provides evidence-based interventions, assessments, and court-mandated treatment for a variety of clinical issues.  She is certified as an independent practitioner through the CA Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB) and is trained in the state-authorized risk assessment tools used for evaluating sex offenders (SARATSO).  She has experience working within correctional settings and with probation in the community with the combined goal of reducing recidivism and increasing safety for the justice-involved youth/young adults and the people that surround them.  She has worked in early intervention settings where the main goals were increasing strengths/protective factors and identifying and reducing risk factors that are beginning to lead to or could lead to a criminal or disruptive lifestyle.       
Brenda Chiu, Psy.D.
Dr. Brenda Chiu is a bilingual clinical psychologist in California.  She is currently working with juveniles who are sexually offended in the Sexual Behavior Treatment Program in the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Division of Juvenile Justice.  Dr. Chiu is a CASOMB-certified treatment provider.  Apart from providing assessment and treatment to juveniles, Dr. Chiu also provides training in trauma awareness and brain development and runs seminars and workshops for parents on how to talk to your kids about sex.
